We explore where there is tightness or discomfort showing up in the body and track the root cause of the presenting issue. I also provide somatic practices to further support the work between sessions.
What should I expect during a Craniosacral Therapy session?
What is The CranioSacral System?
The CranioSacral System was scientifically defined only relatively recently, which is why it can seem an unfamiliar name. It is a core body system, extending from our head to our tailbone. This system is far-reaching as it contains our brain, spinal cord and all related structures. Our ability to see, smell, sense, chew our food and digest it, speak, breathe, in fact all of those and many more functions are influenced by our CranioSacral System.
The Waters
The craniosacral system surrounds the central nervous system. Cerebrospinal fluid is produced and enclosed within this system and this vital fluid maintains the physiological environment in which the brain and nervous system develop, live and “breathe.” Dropping into the craniosacral system can feel almost like being back in the womb. Through the fluid body, we can deepen our primordial connection to our body and the earth.
“I've been seeing Robbie for craniosacral therapy and it's been amazing how much my body has been gentle releasing and letting go. I look forward to my sessions and Robbie's care and touch is so soothing. I always feel so safe and cared for in his presence. Powerful work, yet gentle for my soul.”

The fluid presence in our bodies is our fundamental environment; we are the moving water brought to land, an extension of the primordial ocean.
