Hi, I’m Robbie.

My work is an offering of Somatic Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy and Mentoring and Coaching. My intention is to help you find a greater sense of physical and emotional ease in your body while supporting you in cultivating a deeper sense of self-connection.

I am a Somatic Therapist, Bodyworker and Facilitator.

I work online with clients internationally offering Hakomi Therapy and Somatic Mentoring and Coaching as well as in-person in Cork city offering Craniosacral Therapy, Somatic Therapy and Therapeutic Bodywork and Massage. I also facilitate somatic-based workshops through meditation, movement and shamanic-based practices.

Robbie’s Approach

My body-centered approach to healing is rooted in the deep wisdom of the natural healing process of the body.  I have a particular interest in the area of stress and trauma and see my work as holding space for another in exploring our mind-body connection and the relationship our beliefs, thoughts and memories have in creating holding patterns and tension in the body. My integrative approach supports people in exploring and unravelling physical tension, self-limiting beliefs and unresolved emotions in the body so we can inhabit more deeply our natural state of being. I hold and deeply honour the body’s natural wisdom and healing capacity at the core of our work. Remembering that we know how to come into harmony with our body and mind when we are given the space to be present and trust what wants to arise.

“I hold and deeply honour the body’s natural wisdom and healing capacity”

Trainings and Qualifications

I am qualified in Hakomi Therapy, a somatic-based therapy and method of assisted self-discovery. I am also qualified in Craniosacral Therapy from the Upledger Institute. This body therapy focuses on creating balance and restoring our nervous system as well as supporting the body in releasing stress or trauma through working with the cerebrospinal fluid and fascia or connective tissue.  I am also trained in several bodywork and massage therapies including Myofascial and Neuromuscular Massage, Deep Tissue and Ayurvedic Yoga Massage Therapy. In addition, I am qualified in the Emmett Technique, a body therapy involving gentle touch to specific pressure points, helping to release physical pain and emotional discomfort within the body.

Interests and Inspirations

I have a deep interest in somatic-based meditation and movement practices. I have been involved in Buddhist and Tibetan meditation practices for over 10 years. I also have a background in Horticulture and Permaculture and a deep love for the natural world, plants and animals.

Story of Body & Wisdom

I started Body and Wisdom back in 2017 while living in Dublin, Ireland. The name represents a balance between Body; symbolising our connection to our physical body as well as the body of the earth, our more feminine nature and Wisdom; representing our connection to spirit and our more masculine nature. The combination of Body and Wisdom together bring union between spirit and matter- grounding our spiritual nature on this earth through embodying the soul through the soma.

Some Kind Words:

“Robbie is a wonderful therapist. He is a beautiful person, with a genuine interest in working to support people on their healing journey with respect and compassion. He is a great listener - I think he really trusts intuition and always seems to ask the questions that are needed at the right time to help you to look a little deeper within…”

“I've been seeing Robbie for Craniosacral therapy and it's been amazing how much my body has been gentle releasing and letting go. I look forward to my sessions and Robbie's care and touch is so soothing. I always feel so safe and cared for in his presence. Powerful work, yet gentle for my soul.…”

- Deborah M

Robbie is a kind, gentle and adept space holder. I just had my first session and it was so profoundly healing. I was deeply witnessed, held and loved throughout the process. The space was so beautiful too, I felt like the healing began as soon as I walked into the room…”
